Hain’t It Funny? Lyrics

K.d. Lang

Jane siberry
We made love last night
Wasnt good wasnt bad
Itimate strangers made me kinda sad
Now when I woke up this morning
Coffee wasnt on
It slowly dawned on me that my baby is gone
My babys gone
Guess I shoudlnt be so shocked
I guess I shouldnt be so surprised
Guess I sorta noticed the sadness in your eyes
All this time together
And I still feel so alone
Two of us together couldnt make this house a home
My babys gone
My babys gone
Oh so long
Umf maybe Im a little bit relieved
Maybe even a little bit glad
Now that youre gone maybe I wont feel so sad
So Im packing your things and
Leaving them outside and
Neighbours can talk themselves up into a storm Ill survive
My babys gone
My babys gone
Oh ... so long
Did you forget something my love
I see youre back outside
Looking at your suitcases looking oh so surprised
Haint it funny
One of lifes little jokes
Thought youd gone for good
But youd only gone ... for smokes
